Tannum Fitness Centre is a fitness and leisure facility located in the coastal town of Tannum Sands on the central east coast of Queensland, Australia, just south of the city of Gladstone.
Our family-owned and operated business opened nearly four decades ago in 1981 as Tannum Sands Squash Centre, with 4 squash courts. Over the years, we have evolved into one of the most diverse and unique fitness and leisure centres in the Central Queensland region.
The Indoor Rock Climbing, Mini Golf, Short-Mat Bowls, Puzzle Rooms, Bubble Footy and SmartWall are ideal for group, team, family, school or club activities and social functions. Tannum Fitness Centre is also a great venue for children's parties. The covered entertainment area and barbeque can be used in conjunction with group bookings. The squash court can also be utilized for othe fun activities such as rebound volleyball, trac-ball, grip-ball, mini-tennis, pickleball and so forth. We have all the equipment available, free of use for groups or with court hire, and just need a short time to set up.
It is not necessary to have a membership to use any of our facilities - walk-ins or casual users are most welcome.
The unique combination of facilities means there is something here for everyone - male or female, young to not-so-young, individual or groups. You can be active, have fun, relax, socialize, change your lifestyle - all under the one roof, and in a friendly, open and cost-efficient manner. Come in and experience the friendly, carefree environment, and be surprised at what we have to offer!!

We can help you take the time to consider the materials, the inscription and design in your own time. Darrin specialises in Aboriginal headstones and plaques and as an indigenous person himself understands the needs of his people. Your own designs and ideas can be incorporated at no extra cost.
Darrin Trindall, is a Gomeroi/Kamilaroi Murri from Narrabri, NSW.
Aboriginal people have traditional forms of communication - oral storytelling and song as well as visual communication represented through drawings, paintings and the use of ceremonial designs.
The large number of unmarked graves in Aboriginal communities, respect for heritage and the high cost charged by funeral companies motivated Darrin to create his own business and support Aboriginal people wishing to pay their respect to their family and friends.
