Mungatta Murray Grey Stud is a Western Australian company located in the Shire of Wongan-Ballidu. It operates a beef cattle stud, supplying top quality Murray Grey sires. Mungatta Murray Grey Stud has over thirty years' experience, and uses proven techniques for assessing breed plan figures, fertility and overall performance parameters. The Stud's females are selected for their femininity and their ability to rear calves in the dry conditions prevailing in the Western Australian Wheat Belt.
Mungatta Murray Grey Stud was established in 1973 with the purchase of several well-bred Murray Grey females. After registration as a stud in 1974, a sire of influence, Champagne Charlie was purchased in 1977. Champagne Charlie introduced sound structure, muscling and balance. Several of his progeny went on to win awards at the Perth Royal Show and at regional shows.
