A guide to Bunbury
A coastal city gem on the fringes of Western Australia, Bunbury may be a small community but don't be fooled - dynamite comes in small packages. Just 2 hours' drive away from the bustling city of Perth, Bunbury is an ideal getaway for families and friends looking for a bit of fresh air, strolls on the beach and time to relax. Bunbury has an enviable Mediterranean climate with warm summers and mild winters, making it an ideal holiday destination all year round. A popular wedding venue destination, the city of Bunbury has all the charm and ambience of a small town, with the facilities of a large metropolitan area. Geared for families, there is plenty for kids to keep them entertained in the outdoors, and even some exciting things to keep a sullen teenager busy and out of trouble.
Good To Know
Public transport is somewhat unreliable in and around Bunbury, so if you travelled down on the train from Perth, you will need to hire a car to get around. Taxis are pricey, and although there is a bus service, the locals say you should not expect too much.
