What happens during my first consult?
Your osteopath will ask about your problems and symptoms, including your medical history and any medications you are taking. They will then conduct an examination which may include orthopaedic or neurological tests, and movement and postural assessments to help form a diagnosis.
If clinically indicated, your osteopath may do some hands-on treatment and prescribe you with clinical exercises to do at home to help manage your condition. Depending on your diagnosis, your osteopath may refer you to another professional for further tests.
