Ethiopiaid Australia is an Australian-based charity, raising money for field partners on the ground in Ethiopia.
Ethiopiaid Australia Foundation is a non-profit charity organisation with a mission to break the cycle of poverty in Ethiopia. Our vision is for an Ethiopia free from poverty, in which every person has access to quality education, healthcare and a life of dignity.
How do we do this?
We partner with local, trusted organisations based on the ground in Ethiopia. We raise funds for development in key areas such as ending harmful traditional practices, providing education for all, advocating women's rights, protecting vulnerable children and improving maternal health.
Your support gives children, women and communities across Ethiopia the tools they need to lift themselves out of poverty today, tomorrow and well into the future.

We aim to give 75c for every dollar to our field partners and areas of work in Ethiopia. We keep our overheads low with pro bono office space, a salaried team of only four people and wholesale prices for all our fundraising costs.
The Ethiopiaid Australia office was started in 2007, but the Ethiopiaid organisation was founded much earlier than that - in 1989 in the UK. We have over 30 years' experience in fundraising and a a vibrant history of progress across key areas of development in Ethiopia.
No, all the Directors on our Board volunteer their time and expertise free of charge.
Your donation goes to key areas of work in Ethiopia which are run by our on-the-ground project partners. These areas of work include ending dangerous traditions like female genital mutilation and child marriage, improving maternal health/ending obstetric fistula, empowering women and ending gender-based violence, protecting orphans and vulnerable children, and providing palliative care. We're there for the most vulnerable and the most marginalised, regardless of age, gender or location. That means you'll always be able to help those who need it the most.
No, our motto is that truly sustainable change must be local, not imported. We don't fly in overseas doctors, teachers or aid workers. Instead, we partner with local, on-the-ground organisations in Ethiopia which leaders in their field and which are best placed to help their people.
