At leaps & bounds improving wellbeing we specialise treating pain and restoring function.
Myotherapists assess, diagnose and treat pain and improve function.
At leaps & bounds improving wellbeing, myotherapists have completed a 4yr myotherapy degree and are members of the Professional Myotherapy Association (PMA).
Common complaints treated by myotherapy include: sports injuries, disc prolapse, shin, back and shoulder pain and poor flexibility. In fact, myotherapy can be used to treat most pain and reduced function affecting your musculoskeletal system.
Physiotherapists assess, diagnose and treat people with pain and movement problems.
They also deliver patient education and help people avoid injuries and maintain a fit, healthy body.
At leaps & bounds improving wellbeing physiotherapy is a hands-on experience incorporating massage, stretching and exercise prescription.
Like myotherapy, physiotherapy is employed to treat most problems affecting the musculoskeletal system.
Podiatrists are professionals specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of foot and lower limb problems.
At leaps & bounds improving wellbeing podiatry is focused on sports podiatry, orthotic prescription, biomechanical evaluation and footwear solutions. We also have a particular interest in the development of children and believe that many problems affecting adults can be prevented by podiatry intervention in childhood.
Conditions commonly treated include: plantar fasciitis, stress fractures, achilles tendonitis, ankle, shin, back and knee pain.
At leaps & bounds improving wellbeing acupuncture and dry needling are used to treat common musculoskeletal problems such as sports injuries, back, knee, shoulder and elbow pain.
Acupuncture can also be employed to effectively treat inner ear infection, acute and chronic UTI, irritable bowel, sinusitis and many other common complaints. Acupuncture is a very gentle technique, which is regularly employed to effectively treat many diseases common in children and adolescents.
Herbal medicine is commonly employed to boost the immune system, increase energy levels and treat conditions such as insomnia, irritable bowel, common cold, cough, asthma, UTI, inner ear infection, menopausal syndrome, skin problems and stress/emotional related disorders.
Herbal medicine is generally prescribed in highly concentrated capsule or granule form, meaning there is no preparation time and they are easy to take.
At leaps & bounds improving wellbeing our practitioners are highly qualified, having completed a 5yr degree in Chinese acupuncture and herbal medicine at RMIT University, which means that you are in good hands.
