The procedure for anti wrinkle injections generally takes around 30 minutes. The treatment involves injecting small amounts of the product using an extremely fine needle into specific muscle groups of the face. Anti wrinkle injections are not painful, some clients may feel a slight sting which quickly resolves. Numbing cream is optional for this procedure at no extra cost. Maximum effect is seen after about 10 days, however the results are evident 3-4 days after the procedure.
Before we start injecting you will have a comprehensive consultation with the clinician. The consultation will allow the clinician to complete a full assessment of your face, understand your goals and concerns, and choose the most appropriate product to achieve the most natural and beautiful results. The consultation is also a great time to ask any questions. Expect to experience some discomfort when being injected, however prior to injecting your clinician will apply a topical numbing cream that acts as a local anaesthetic to make the experience more comfortable. We take our time injecting to achieve accuracy and the best end result. The procedure generally takes 30 minutes or longer, depending on the areas that are being treated. The procedure involves injecting a gel like substance using very small needles, or cannulas if this is appropriate, under the skin of the chosen area. We only use hyaluronic acid dermal fillers. This is because hyaluronic acid is produced by your body, therefore it is the safest option as there is a very low chance of a reaction occurring. Hyaluronic acid can also be dissolved if the result does not meet expectations, or if there is an issue with the placement of the fillers.
The dermal fillers that we use are made of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that is found in the skin and connective tissue. It is responsible for retaining water to keep your tissues plump and well hydrated. It also plays an important role in collagen production and wound healing.
