We are a North Lakes physiotherapy clinic with a special interest in providing elite sports rehabilitation. We operate via a mobile physiotherapy approach performing home visits with our clients. We provide evidence based physiotherapy for post surgery rehabilitation, non-surgical rehabilitation, sports injury rehabilitation, management of common musculoskeletal presentations such as low back and neck pain, elbow and shoulder pain, nerve pain amongst many others.
How can we help?
At PRP Physio we offer extended consultation times. Why? Because we believe you deserve it, you ought to receive an accurate diagnosis, prognosis, plan, and thorough treatment in your initial consultation. This is often difficult to achieve in the 30 minutes other clinics tend to offer.
We highly value clients that are invested in their own healthcare and are actively involved in determining how they believe they can best resolve their concerns.
Without the time to discuss, question, and educate each other about our plans and concerns this cannot occur, as such all of our private consultations are 45 minutes in length.
What do we do best?
We believe in offering exceptional service to our clients, the physiotherapy world is ever changing with research and evidence.
We stay abreast of all the latest research but we never lose touch with our roots as hands on clinicians. Exercise is an integral part of rehabilitation, but hands-on treatment has numerous benefits such as:
Pain relief
Improved freedom of movement
Improved function
Improved range of motion
Increased capacity to exercise
As physiotherapists are largely beginning to trend towards a hands-off approach, you can be confident, with us you will still receive expert hands-on treatment.
What types of Physio do we Offer
Sports Physiotherapy
Sports physiotherapy is typically provided for injuries such as ankle sprains, knee injuries, shoulder injuries, or injuries sustained during the participation of sport. Sports physio is quite distinct from musculoskeletal physiotherapy as it involves a detailed knowledge of the athletes chosen sport/s, what position they play, the demands of the sport, how long they play, as well as how often they train and play. Without this knowledge of these demands a physiotherapist cannot truly understand the requirements of that athletes rehabilitation. For some athletes such as those returning from a hamstring injury, or a ligament sprain, field based training is often required.
Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
Musculoskeletal physiotherapy is often referre....

A physiotherapist can help with a wide range of health problems. They can help with musculoskeletal problems and conditions by assessing the body and working out a treatment plan and exercises.
To become a physiotherapist you must go to university and complete a relevant degree in physiotherapy once the degree is completed you will then need to complete supervised practice.
You should wear comfortable loose clothing that allows you to display any issues you may have so that they can be diagnosed correctly.
You will often be given a range of exercises to complete before you return and it is important to make sure you complete these exercises to enable you to have the best chance at making a full recovery.
Treatment is best if it begins sooner rather than later. Getting on top of a small problem can prevent it becoming a large one.
