Ashtanga - a practice for life
In our classes students practice in a group setting but are instructed individually. That's why we have students of all levels and abilities practice together and each student can progress at their pace. Students new to Mysore style practice, are required to commit to a month of regular classes in order to learn the method correctly. (No prior experience is required.) Practice takes approximately 60 minutes but can be as little as 10 minutes if you are short on time. We also offer private one-on-one classes to enhance the learning experience, especially popular for people short on time or for students who work on particular goals.

Hello I'm Cathy, I teach Iyengar Yoga classes in Brisbane. Classes are available for beginners as well as more experienced practitioners. My approach to teaching Yoga is light and open, I encourage students to learn and explore, and to safely find what works for them. Iyengar yoga is known for its detailed and exacting instructions. They are an important part of the Iyengar method of teaching, as they help us to hold the mind and body in the moment, and encourage development of a finer sensitivity and energetic connection to practice.

Bikram is a type of hot yoga which is practiced in a heated room where you will go through a series of 26 different poses. It was developed around 30 years ago by Bikram Choudhury.
Vinyasa is a class where you will proceed through a series of poses in a smooth transition aiming to link the movements through breath as it is performed.
Hatha is a fairly general term used to describe yoga that teaches physical poses. Often a good class to attend as an introduction to yoga.
