QMASTOR's full suite of bulk terminal management software selected for third coal export terminal at the Port of Newcastle

The Directors of QMASTOR Limited (ASX:QML) are pleased to announce that Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group (NCIG) has selected QMASTOR to provide QMASTOR’s full suite of bulk terminal management systems including Pit to Port.net, SMS3D.net, Horizon Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) and iFuse systems at their new export coal export terminal. The scope covers software licensing, project services, software maintenance and support with the majority of revenue to be received in the 09/10 financial year.

QMASTOR will supply NCIG with a bulk terminal management system that will form a mission critical component of the coal export terminal’s core operations. Functionality provided by QMASTOR includes: core supply chain modelling, supplying mine nominations and interactions, transportation / logistics scheduling and tracking; stockyard inventory management including advanced 3D stockpile modelling; terminal task and route management; delay management; shipping and marine management; shipping documentation; advanced planning and scheduling; and systems integration including: terminal equipment via historian (OSIsoft Pi), laboratories, 3rd party rail systems, maintenance system.

About NCIG
Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group (NCIG) comprises a group of six companies in the Hunter Valley Region that has formed a consortium. The group includes BHP Billiton, Centennial Coal, Peabody Pacific, Donaldson Coal, Whitehaven Coal and Felix Resources.

NCIG is implementing construction and operation of a new 30Mtpa Coal Export Terminal (CET) at Kooragang Island in Newcastle, NSW, Australia. The terminal is planned to commence operations in 2009/2010.

Construction of the new coal terminal on Kooragang Island will significantly increase the export capacity of the Hunter Valley coal chain which is currently around 95 Million tonnes per annum.
