We offer hearing health for the whole family, from hearing aids to tinnitus, ear wax removal, auditory processing disorders and paediatrics. Adult diagnostic hearing assessment
For each adult hearing assessment, we allow up to 90 minutes, to ensure we have time to perform a comprehensive case history and examination of the ear. We will also check the status of the middle ear, speech discrimination abilities in both quiet and noise, and a diagnostic evaluation of the hearing ability. If required, we will continue on to discussing hearing solution options. The Audiology Place is a completely independent and local practice that does not have ties to any specific hearing aid manufacturer/brand. This ensures that any advise and option given, is patient-centred and individual to the specific person's best interests.
Once the hearing test is complete, your audiologist will present you with a thorough explanation of your test results, with plenty time for you to ask questions and gain a full understanding of your hearing loss and how it relates to the problems you are experiencing. You can take a copy of your test results home with you on the day, and a full and detailed report can be sent to your GP or specialist.
