Offers lectures at Sydney University to HSC Economics and Business Studies students in July holidays. Ross Gittins (Economics Editor SMH) prepares the Economics lecture handouts. Paul Coghlan (40+years experience)presents the lectures on 3,5,7,9 July.
Since 1989, Academic Attainment has been offering lectures at Sydney University to HSC Economics and Business Studies students. Ross Gittins (Economics Editor SMH) prepares the Economics lecture note handouts and SMH articles and Paul Coghlan who has 40+years Economics teaching experience at university, state high schools and private schools (including 24 years at Newington College) presents the lectures. He was also a senior marker for most of the 20 years that he marked the HSC Economics pap...er. Three teachers present the Business Studies lectures and handouts including the 2013 chief judge at the Business Studies marking centre..
In 2013, the entire Economics course is covered over two days on Sunday 7 July and Tuesday 9 July while Business Studies is fully covered on Wednesday 3 July and Friday 5 July. Cost is $64 per student per day or $58 each per day for group bookings (6+ students). The Academic Attainment presentations focus on both exam technique and content and are an excellent opportunity for students to update, revise and consolidate their learning prior to the Trial exams.
Details of all of the above are mailed out to schools early in Term 1 and again in early Term 2. Further copies may be obtained by email, fax or telephone contact.
Academic Attainment will also convene teacher conferences in both HSC Economics (1/3/13) and HSC Business Studies (8/3/13) during Term 1 at Canterbury Hurlstone Park RSL Club.
