Everyone knows what healthy eating is and how beneficial it is, but it is a different matter when trying to get the whole family happily on board with you. More than just dispensing information, at Family Nutrition Clinic the Dietitian gives a whole of family approach to ensure each person achieve their maximum potential through eating and living well. In addition, Konsita speaks and is familiar with Indonesian and Chinese foods and cooking practices hence giving culturally appropriate suggestions. The following services are provided:
INDIVIDUAL TAILORED CONSULTATION IN (at the clinic or at your home):
• Children nutrition issues: poor growth, fussy eating, food allergy and intolerances, ADHD, celiac disease, reflux, under or overweight, constipation/diarrhoea.
• Pregnancy: optimum nutrition for healthy pregnancy, gestational diabetes, PCOS, achieving and maintaining a healthy weight.
• Medical Nutrition Therapy: eating plan to manage various health conditions: Type 2 Diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, weight loss & improving eating behaviour, IBS, cancer, reflux, insulin resistance, osteoporosis, renal disease, chronic fatigue.
• Home visits available if you have limited mobility or simply do not have time to come to the clinic.
• Registered provider of Medicare and DVA.
NOTE:
1. A doctor’s referral is not mandatory to see a Dietitian, however if you do have a health condition, it is better to ask your doctor first for a referral and ask if you are eligible for a ‘care plan’, which will entitle you to a rebate from Medicare. Working with your doctor will give a more comprehensive approach to treating your health.
2. Most health fund will give some rebates to seeing a Dietitian. Please check with your health fund.
3. Accept all cards for payments. On the spot Medicare claiming available for your convenience to save you queuing up at the Medicare office!
