stores. Except we offer it to you on a direct basis from our

roastery and shipped to you fresh and fast at a fraction of

the retail price.

The Coffee Beanery is a high quality specialist roaster. We

Almost all great coffees are a mix of blended beans sourced

from all over the world. This is because no single bean can

produce the depth of flavour and the richness that comes with

blending various types of beans.

In our experience, we have found that when growing coffee, the

higher the altitude - the better the bean. We source beans

from a wide range of locations, hand picked from Ethiopia, El

Salvador, Peru and South East Asia. The rest of our sources we

won't divulge.

Baraka is Ethiopian and describes the final part of a traditional coffee ceremony. The first round 'Abol' takes place in the morning, the second round 'Tona' takes place at noon and the third round 'Baraka' takes place in the evening and completes the coffee ceremony for each day. Baraka is said to transform the spirit and to bestow a blessing.

About our Trainer/Assessor

Francois has over 10 years in the hospitality industry acquiring experience as Barista and Barista Trainer and a solid background in the hospitality industry specialising in preparing/serving espresso coffee at its finest.

He travelled to several coffee farms in South-East Asia and will continue his journey around the world in order to extend his knowledge about coffee cultivation and broader understanding of the influences of different climate conditions to coffee.

Besides operating Baraka Coffee School, Francois also started to pass on his knowledge gained over the years in form of books detailing brewing guides for several domestic brewing methods starting with his first release: I ONLY have a Plunger!
