Originally established as a community initiative to address youth unemployment in the Ipswich region--under the name Young Unemployed People of Ipswich (YUPI)--the organisation has since evolved into a registered not-for-profit training provider serving communities across South-East Queensland.

While its scope has expanded to support all disadvantaged cohorts, Challenge Employment and Training continues to maintain a strong focus on youth, with 76% of participants falling within this demographic. Through personalised mentoring, the organisation helps individuals build essential work and life skills, access meaningful training opportunities, and achieve sustainable employment and positive long-term outcomes.
