Bowen Therapy is a powerful soft tissue therapy that aids the body to balance, cleanse and heal itself. A series of gentle, cross fibre movements are made over muscles, tendons, nerves and connective tissue (fascia), with small pauses between each series of movements. The pauses allow the body to respond to, and integrate the messages it has received via these movements.
Fewer moves can often achieve greater outcomes because too many messages can confuse the body. This is why there is more benefit in having at least 2-3 treatments. Not only does Bowen Therapy assist with pain, it sends your body into the same deep state of relaxation as if you are sleeping, so you can image how wonderful it is for helping you to de-stress - and this is when the body heals most.
