Reiki works by the Practitioner connecting to source energy and directing the energy flow to you by gently placing their hands on or above your body. Working around chakras and the meridian points of your body, realigment and balance can be achieved by relaxing your nervous system. Common feelings throughout a treatment include heat coming from the Practitioner's hands, pulsing or tingling as energy is released, deep relaxation, gentle pressure and warmth throughout your body. Some people fall asleep and have a well-needed rest, and some experience emotional feelings. One thing to know is that every treatment is unique, and the more open you are to the process, the more benefits Reiki can bring.
My approach is probably a bit different to what you've experienced before in holistic therapy.
I don't rush you out of a session because I know that sometimes it takes time to talk out what you have experienced, or you need some space and time to recollect your thoughts and get back in to your body. I never lead with ego - it gets in the way of intuition, and comes from a selfish desire for validation. This is removed from any session with me.
