Nigel Nixon, Podiatrist and owner of Caringbah Podiatry and Biomechanics

Nigel has 20 years experience in private practice, and opened Caringbah Podiatry and Biomechanics in 1995. Nigel has a Bachelor of Science (Podiatry), is a Member of the Australian Podiatry Association (MAPA) and is a Member of the Australasian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine (AAPSM).
Nigel has also spent time working in various sports medicine clinics which has given him a strong multi-disciplinary approach to treatment.

Prior to starting his practice, and whilst studying, Nigel worked for several years at Athletes Foot. This gave him a sound knowledge and continuing interest in sports footwear.
On a personal level, Nigel has been a competitive distance runner for over 30 years, having competed at State and National level. He is an active member of Sutherland Athletics, and is passionate about running and athletics more broadly.

On a professional level, Nigel has a special interest in running and sports related injury and treatment. He has many patients who are competing at an elite level across a large number of sports disciplines, as well as non-elite patients with sports related injury.

Tracey Crisford, Podiatrist

Tracey Crisford has been practicing as a Podiatrist for the past 20 years. She has a Diploma of Applied Science (Podiatry) (Qld) and is a Member of the Australian Podiatry Association (MAPA). Tracey was the owner of practices on the Gold Coast and Sydney before joining Caringbah Podiatry in 2005.

Her professional interests are in paediatrics, sports medicine, and minor surgery. Professionally she has worked with players from the NBL and NRL as well as numerous top level tri-athletes and ironmen.

Tracey has a personal interest in sport and has competed as a surf lifesaver and swimmer for the past 25 years. She is still an active lifesaver and coaches surf lifesavers in her spare time.

Southern Sports Podiatry opened after local podiatrist Ryan Quintano was treating local triathletes in his spare time. After the business grew rapidly SSP is now open mondays, tuesdays, fridays and saturdays. Ryan continues to work at Westmead Hospital.
