IXSURVEY Australia Pty Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of iXBlue, a division of iXCore S.A.S., a privately held French company. The iXCore group is a global organisation that develops and markets advance technology technical navigation systems for commercial and military applications.

IXSURVEY AUSTRALIA was established in late 2007 to extend the Group's presence in Australasia. In early 2008, the Company were awarded a large nautical charting contract for Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) of the Fiordland National Park.

As part of the French based iXBlue Group of companies, IXSURVEY Australia benefits from the technical and financial strength of being part of a large corporate entity, plus the benefits of the resources and knowledge of having a sister office based in France. As a member of the Sea Operations division of iXBlue, IXSURVEY provides multi-disciplinary marine surveys to hydrographic, offshore oil & gas, telecommunication, port and harbour, renewable energy and defence organisations around the world.

The iXCore group originated in 2000, a corporate entity that emerged from the sell off of Photonetics. Photonetics was founded in 1978 and built a world leading team in the application of optical technologies to both telecommunication systems and optical gyroscopes. In 1999, Photonetics was sold leading to the creation of iXSea, a spin off company that retained the fibre-optic gyroscope technology. This then led to the formation of iXCore, a holding company for the growing portfolio of capabilities. Since that date, the group have grown in size and capabilites. IXSURVEY was established in 2004 and the Brisbane office was founded in 2007.
