We at Jensen Property recommend Smoke Alarm Australia's services. The following compliance criteria are explained:
Government regulations
Landlords are responsible for making sure that the required number of functional smoke alarms are placed in accordance with the Building Code of Australia (BCA) part 3.7.2.3 and the Australian Standard (3786:2015) in their rental properties. All Australian states are subject to this legislation.
Laws of the State
The Queensland Fire and Rescue Service Act 1990 underwent amendments on July 1st, 2007, requiring continuing maintenance for every smoke alarm in a Queensland rental property. According to this law, each smoke alarm must be tested and cleaned within 30 days of any lease modification or renewal. Additionally, each smoke alarm's battery must be changed before it expires. The legislation forbids the renter from receiving these obligations.
