A short walk will take you into the hub of our village with many cafes, restaurants, boutique shopping and the usual amenities. We are also a short 4-minute drive to the John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle Private Hospital and Blackbutt reserve which has some of Australia's unique wildlife including koalas, kangaroos and wombats etc. A 6-minute drive will get you to the Newcastle University and the Mater Hospital. The airport is 25 minutes' drive.

Newcastle harbour with the atmospheric 'Honeysuckle precinct is a short 12-minute drive and from there you can continue your journey onto one of our many stunning beaches with our historic ocean baths dotted along the coastline.

If you don't have a car, alternative arrangements can be made as we are licensed 'rideshare' drivers. We can even offer airport transfers during your stay.

The 'Artist Studio' is a working art studio which we have just renovated in December 2019 by adding a gorgeous new bathroom. The studio has stunning queen bed, a reading nook, a balcony, beautiful linen, 'Peter Alexander' gowns, a kitchenette with a bar fridge, air conditioning, a TV with all the latest apps and free Wi-Fi throughout. This is a wonderful space, very comfortable and has its own access via the side of the house.
