I work in private in home consultations with you, as I find that often owners get embarrassed or frustrated when trying to train their dog in a group situation--particularly with all the distractions around. I believe it is important to understand the underlying causes of dog behaviour that owners wish to correct and I then develop a plan that suits your lifestyle to correct the undesired behaviour in your pet. I would love to work with you to train your dog.

I have undertaken studies in dog psychology and have an aim of strengthening the bond that exists between you and your dog using gentle positive reinforcement reward based training, I have been handling dogs in the pet care industry for over 10 years. Much evidence is emerging that proves dominance, compulsion or harsh correction based training often produces a dog that does not enjoy training and often becomes fearful of its owner. I don't know about you but I want my dog to do as I ask because it loves and trusts me - isn't that really what we all want?

I subscribe to a reward based system and use positive reinforcement as I find that this method enables a dog and its owner to have fun and enjoy training.
