EMCS consulting rooms are located in BERWICK for face to face consultations. Phone and Zoom (video) consultations are available Australia wide. Specialising in Anxiety/Depression, Trauma, Grief/Loss, Relationship issues, Stress and Anger Management. Mental Health Plans and referrals from doctors are NOT required. Recognised provider for Medibank, St. Lukes, Phoenix Health, Doctors Health Fund and Police Health Fund.

Empowered Mind Counselling Service provides a confidential, supportive and affordable counselling and psychotherapy service to adolescents, adults, couples and family members. Face-to-face sessions are held at Berwick consulting rooms, or alternatively Phone and Zoom counselling (for adults) is provided Australia Wide.

Counselling can help with a range of issues, such as Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Stress, Anger Management, Grief/Loss, Difficult Life Transitions, and Relationship counselling. By adopting a range of therapeutic styles, the counsellor will work with you to overcome your presenting difficulties. No person or relationship is the same and therefore counselling is tailored to each individual, couple or family with the aim of helping the client(s) facilitate positive change and/or relieve distress.

Referrals and Mental Health Plans are not required to access the counselling service. Empowered Mind Counselling Service provides counselling to Adult NDIS consumers who have Plan Managed or Self Managed funding. Discussion with the counsellor prior to commencement is required to assess suitability of the service.

Private Health Funds : Members holding certain levels of coverage/extras with the following health funds may be entitled to rebates from their providers - Medibank Private, St. Lukes, Phoenix Health, Doctors Health Fund and Police Health Fund. Please check directly with your health fund provider first.

Empowered Mind Counselling Service is owned and operated by Director/Counsellor Michelle Keir-Sanderson.
Michelle holds a Masters Degree in Mental Health Science M.MHSc., Bachelor's Degree in Behavioural Science (majoring in Psychology) B.BSc., and Postgraduate qualifications in Forensic Mental Health. GCertFMentalHealth. She has over 16 years counselling experience (over 4000 client contact hours) and retains Level 4 Membership of Australian Counselling Association (ACA).
