ABOUT TIMMSY'S AUTO AYR

Experienced Mechanic

A brief recount of my 31+ years in the trade - I completed my apprenticeship  at the local Nissan dealership then moved to Ford as a service adviser. 

I have worked with  RACQ in various capacities and have kept my mechanical training up to date. 

I served time at Holden then worked with a local independent mechanic for several years working on all makes and models. 

I also have experience as a Marine mechanic. 

I worked at the local Toyota dealership for many years ending as a Master Tech. During that time I took part in skills competitions winning a diagnosis technician regional finals. 

Upon leaving Toyota I worked for a local dealership handling multiple franchises including  Mitsubishi, Nissan, Suzuki and  Isuzu. 

As you can see, I have been in and around all makes and models for a good many years constantly learning and upgrading skills and techniques.

In that time I have also learned the importance of providing good customer care and quality workmanship, which is the basis for my mantra:

Upon deciding to start my own business, I initially created a mobile mechanic service but feedback from customers quickly indicated there was a need for an independent mechanic specifically for the budget conscious.. So I scouted around for the ideal location for a workshop, finally settling on one very conveniently located in Queen Street, Ayr, .
