Robin Syme was a major contributor to aged care in Australia, particularly for his support and guidance to medicare. Robin was a solicitor with over 40 years' experience in the not-for-profit sector. This former president of The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, Chairman of the State Council, and President of St John Ambulance Victoria joined the medicare Board in 2000. Soon after, he was appointed as the organization's Chairman.
