One of South Australia's most attractive country towns, Strathalbyn is classified as a Heritage Town sited on the banks of the Angas River. Central to the town is a large area of parkland, known as the Soldier's Memorial Gardens, which is ideal for walking and picnics. A feature of the park is the delightful Children's Bridge which was completed in 1919 and the nearby upgraded 50 metre swimming pool and surrounding BBQ facilities.
