The Sydney Retreat provides an affordable, accessible, 30-day residential alcohol and drug recovery program based on the world's most effective approach, the Alcoholics Anonymous 12 step program. As a clinic for people who are seeking recovery, we consider that the best form of assistance is the introduction and demonstration of AA's 12 steps. Our counsellors show you how to apply the AA program to your daily lives and we connect you with a network of established AA members who will guide you on the path to long-term, content and purposeful recovery.

The Sydney Retreat became an incorporated charity in 2015, with the goal of becoming a not-for-profit residential facility for recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. Led by eminent psychiatrist Dr. Stephen Jurd, with specialist expertise in addiction treatment, we aim to bring about long term solutions for addicts and their families.
