Naaz family originated from Rasht, the largest city in northern Iran and the capital city of Gilan Province which lies close to the Caspian Sea. The cooler and wetter climate of the North have bestowed a rich diversity of foods and ingredients resulting in unique local cuisines. The food culture is extremely important to the people of Rasht which has been declared "a Creative City of Gastromony" by UNESCO.
