Great Western Manufacturing is an Australian owned and operated company that offers quality Australian products and services.
The manufacturing division of Great Western Corporation is amongst Australia's leading metal manufacturers, fabricators, machinists, assemblers and spray painters.
Established in 1948 (formerly as Walsh Engineering), the broad based manufacturing business has been in continuous operation since and offers a diverse range of services encompassing component manufacture, light to medium/heavy Metal Fabrication and assembly. Strategically located at the cross roads of Queensland's regional road network in Toowoomba - 120 kilometres west of Brisbane - Great Western Manufacturing occupies 2.6 hectares consisting of two 9000 square metre production halls with overhead cranes, all easily accessible by road, rail and air.

Our highly skilled and professional workforce of 96 people, offers expertise across all areas, from prototype to final assembly and finishing.
To retain its status as a leading manufacturer, Great Western Manufacturing utilises a wide variety of manufacturing methods incorporating design processes through to the modern equipment operated.
Our services include, but are not limited to Laser Cutting (Bed Size 3000mm x 1500mm) up to 20mm Steel, 12mm Stainless Steel and 10mm Aluminium, Oxy/LPG Cutting (Bed Size 12000mm x 3600mm) up to 100mm Steel, Plasma Cutting (Bed Size 12000mm x 3600mm) up to 100mm Steel and 25mm Stainless Steel with 900mm diameter Rotary capability for Tube/Pipe and RHS, Press Brake capacity up to 220 tonne, modern CNC Machine Shop, Welding of Mild Steel, Hi Tensile Steel, Stainless Steel & Aluminium, Robotic MIG Welding, Assembly, CMM/3D Measuring Equipment, Sand Blasting and Wet Spray Painting complete with Drafting Services.
We are a quality endorsed company accredited with quality system ISO 9001:2008 and our license number is QEC1064 through SAI Global. Certification has been held since 02.06.1992.
