Ferntree Gully Laughter Club

We meet at 10.30am on the 2nd, 4th & 5th Sunday behind the Ferntree Gully Library, near the rotunda, 1010 Burwood Highway, FERNTREE GULLY. In inclement weather, we are behind the library on the decking. The Ferntree Gully Laughter Club is free.

The Ferntree Gully Laughter Club is a free, community laughter club, which is affiliated with Laughter Clubs Victoria Inc. Community Laughter Clubs practice laughter Yoga and 'laughing for no reason', which is the best medicine. Unless there is a venue hire charge, they are generally free, promoting community spirit and well being as people join together in the spirit of laughter for the health benefits of laughing out loud, which enhances one's sense of wellness and joy. The Founder of the Laughter Yoga movement is Dr Madan Kataria, a general physician from India and his motto is World Peace Through Laughter.

My husband John is a great supporter of the Ferntree Gully Laughter Club who generally attends. John shares "I love it. Sometimes I go there feeling flat and don't really feel like laughing and when I finish, feel great." I could not believe it - he said he 'loves it'. Yay for the power of laughter.
