Activ was established in 1951 when a group of families came together because they believed their children living with intellectual disability deserved better. This fundamental belief in people is what still drives us today.
We focus on enabling and supporting people living with intellectual disability in their transition towards independence. We believe independence is the freedom to make choices about your own life, and take responsibility for those decisions.
Believing in you means supporting you to do what you love and live life to the fullest – whatever those goals look like for you.

As a leading registered NDIS provider, we provide individualised services for people living with intellectual disability. Today, we support over 2,000 individuals and their families across WA. We believe independence is the freedom to make choices about your own life, and take responsibility for those decisions. Independence does not mean isolation from support - it includes the choice of whether to accept or refuse help.
We have developed our strategy in consultation with some of our customers and their families. They told us the support they needed most was to find a place to live and a place to work. We know these are two key areas that people think about when looking to the future.
