Launceston in the North of Tasmania is the second largest city after the capital Hobart located in the South. Home to nearly 100,000 people, Launceston was established in 1805 and is located in the Tamar Valley area.
Suburbs of Launceston include Prospect, Kings Meadows and Summerhill to the South of the city, Newstead to the east and Invermay to the North of the city centre.
