Buying a wedding dress

Monday, June 23, 2008

The wedding dresses shown in Your Wedding Wardrobe's online catalogue are either preowned, offered by individuals, close-outs from other shops, or brand new discontinued styles.
Most of the preowned items have never been worn and some are used.

The closeout items usually have not been worn, but may have light wear from being tried on in a store. A few missing or loose beads may be possible. Dust or dirt around the hemline may be apparent. Any minor flaws will be highlighted in the description page of the listing.

Your Wedding Wardrobe makes every effort to provide accurate size information, but as with any wedding gowns, minor alterations will be required for a perfect fit.

All gowns are one off and cannot be reordered in a different size unless specified in the description page of the listing. This is why Your Wedding Wardrobe can offer gowns for sale at 50-75% below the RRP.

Variations in colour may occur and Your Wedding Wardrobe is not responsible if the colour is not exactly as it appears on this site.

Used dresses are listed and for sale as is.

If you find a dress on the website that you are interested in contact the seller and obtain as much information as you can about the dress for example:

Ask when the dress was purchased? Price paid? Purchased from whom? Has the dress been worn? Has the dress been dry cleaned? Are there any flaws or marks? Has the dress been altered? Approximate measurements of the dress? Is the dress a sample? Is the dress a discontinued style? Can you view and try on the dress? Is the price negotiable? Are there any other photos available? How will you pay for the dress - be particularly dilligent before you hand over any payment?

Don't be afraid to ask lots of questions you need as much information as possible to ensure that you are comfortable with your purchase.
