Located on the east coast of Australia, the state of Northern Territory is to the west, South Australia is to the south-west and New South Wales is to the south of Queensland. It is known as the 'Sunshine State', as it contains a lot of tropical, hot, sunny cities. However, Queensland is full of variety, with beautiful, lush rainforests in addition to its beach front cities.
This beautiful state with its varied landscape attracts an abundance of tourism, from the Gold Coast in the south east, to Cairns in the north. The Whitsundays and the Great Barrier Reef are well known relaxing tourist destinations, along with the Gold coast and Sunshine Coast which are known for their excitement. In addition to these beautiful destinations, it must be mentioned that Queensland is also well known for its five major theme parks - Dreamworld, Movie World, Sea World, Wet 'n' Wild and White Water World.
